Family Fun Night Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month!

Join us on Wednesday, September 27th and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Ballet Folklórico Sol Del Desierto. They will demonstrate traditional folk dances of México (Baile Folklórico). It will be a fun evening for the whole family! The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Youth Room.

Ballet Folklórico covers a wide range of Mexican dance forms to regional music representing various cultural regions of México.

¡Mes de la Herencia Hispana! The theme for this year is “Shaping the Bright Future of America.”  Hispanic Heritage Month (celebrated September 15th to October 15th) begins each year on September 15th, the anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico, Chile and Belize also celebrate their independence days during this period and Columbus Day (Día de la Raza) is October 12th. The roots of Hispanic Heritage Month go back to 1968.
