The free, public event will feature food, entertainment, giveaways, carnival-style games, a "jumper zone," featuring an inflatable jumper and obstacle course, face painting and static displays, including the PSPD Traffic/DUI Trailer, SWAT BearCat truck and patrol vehicles.
Entertainment will be provided by groups including the Gay Men's Chorus, Palm Springs Youth Cheerleaders and the Palm Springs High School Band
Food vendors include Aspen Mills, Shakey's Pizza Parlor, Sherman's and Giuseppe's.
Fallen Palm Springs Police Officers Gil Vega and Lesley Zerebny will be honored during the Oct. 3 event, which will occur five days prior to the one-year anniversary of the officers' death. A gunman shot and killed the officers when they responded to a domestic disturbance call on Oct. 8, 2016.
