Gasoline Leaf Blower Ordinance

The City is extending the enforcement date for the gasoline-powered leaf blower ban to June 1, 2019. The Leaf Blower Ordinance link on the left will take you to the latest information about incentives and a planned Demonstration Day on March 28th at Demuth Community Center. Although the Demonstration Day is primarily for professional landscapers, residents are welcome to attend. In addition to leaf blowers, participants can try out lawn mowers, trimmers, and other electric tools! Stop by any time between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Ordenanza del soplador de hojas de gasolina 

La Ciudad está extendiendo la fecha de aplicación de la prohibición de sopladores de hojas a gasolina hasta el 1 de Junio de 2019. El enlace de la Ordenanza de Sopladores de Hojas a la izquierda lo llevará a la información más reciente sobre incentivos y al Día de Demostración planeado el 28 de Marzo en el Centro Comunitario Demuth. . Plastic Straw and Styrofoam Pollution

The fourth grade class at the Desert Learning Center in Palm Springs along with their teacher, Ms Yada, have produced two Public Service Announcements (PSA) on the dangers of plastic straw and Styrofoam pollution in an effort to save sea turtles. The PSA's were shown to members of the Sustainability Commission and City Council along with presentations from the students. The Sustainability Commission is currently looking at this subject and appreciates the work these students have done. The links below will take you to the PSA's:
