The City of Palm Springs is participating in a Citywide Emergency Notification System that will provide timely and lifesaving information to registered residents, no matter their location.
The Everbridge system can send thousands of text and voice messages within minutes to home and business land line phones using existing white and yellow pages and 911 databases. The system cannot reach cell phones, PDA’s, computers, and devices for the hearing impaired, unless those cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses are registered with the system. Registering takes only a few minutes through a simple online process. Anyone who lives or works in Palm Springs is encouraged to register their cell phone number and e-mail address.

When creating a New Account, you will be asked to :
Create a Username and Password
Usernames must be a minimum of 4 acceptable characters. Acceptable characters are: uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, period, dash (-), underscore (_), and at symbol (@). No other characters or symbols are permitted at this time.
Password must be 8 to 64 characters long and contain at least one letter and one number. Special characters are permitted, but limited to !@#$%^&*(). Select a security question and enter its answer

WHAT IS EVERBRIDGE?
Everbridge is a powerful mass notification system that will be used to send emergency information and instructions to anyone who lives or works in the City of Palm Springs. Everbridge will send messages to phone numbers included in the emergency 911 and 411 directory listings. In addition, by registering, you may provide additional contact information to receive messages on other devices.

Everbridge can send text or voice messages to home phones, cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDA’s), laptops, desktop computers, and TTY/TDD devices for the hearing impaired. Everbridge can reach you wherever you are almost immediately to provide information and instructions for a variety of emergency situations, including:
Fires and subsequent evacuations
Shelter, transportation, or supply information following a major disaster
Other public safety incidents that immediately affect your neighborhood

Registering for Everbridge is one of the fastest, easiest, and most immediately productive things you can do to better prepare for an emergency. It is the one step you should take today. This system supplements, rather than replaces, other communication methods used by emergency responders, both in person and through the use of other media. Television, radio and County/city websites will continue to broadcast important announcements as well. Everbridge communications are dependent upon external providers such as your wireless carrier or e-mail delivery service.
