Covered California

Covered CA

Legal residents of California are able to get health coverage through a marketplace called Covered California. Covered California offers health insurance plans, which cannot be canceled or denied, at an affordable price. Californians can shop for the plans online or see if they are eligible for Medi-Cal, and Covered California will provide in-person and phone assistance for those who need it.

You can access many helpful resources and obtain assistance in other languages through the Covered California Website.  For legal residents of states other than California, please visit HealthCare.gov.

PubMed

From the U.S. National Library of Medicine at the National Institute of Health, PubMed comprises more than 23 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

Desert AIDS Project
Desert AIDS Project provides medical care and comprehensive support services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the desert community. Free, confidential, rapid-result HIV testing is available, as well as counseling, home health services, legal assistance and assistance with housing, medications, food, re-employment and more. Prevention and education outreach is available to any group. As a fundraiser, D.A.P. operates its five Revivals resale marts.

Healthfinder
Developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, healthfinder links to carefully selected information and Web sites from over 1,500 health-related organizations. There’s a children’s interface with age-appropriate health information and much of the web site’s information is available in Spanish. Their Drug Interaction Checker, Online Checkups, and health newsletters in Spanish and English provide useful additional features.
