Dog Park Grand Re-Opening November 20, 2016
Residents and their four-legged friends are invited to join members of the City Council and the Measure J Commission at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 20,2016 for the grand re-opening celebration for the much loved and well used park, located behind City Hall 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way.
The party will include a Pup Parade led by the City Council and a sneak peek unveiling of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter's new calendar cover, featuring adorable pets with members of the Palm Springs Police and Fire Department. In addition, information will be available for residents regarding how to purchase a bench or walkway brick in memory of a four-legged friend or family member.
The newly refurbished dog park features brand new sod, benches, drinking fountains, LED lighting, new walkways, irrigation and more shading for everyone.
" The Palm Springs Dog Park has been transformed into a state-of-the-art pooch paradise," according to City Manager David H. Ready, "It's incredibly gratifying to see how the fruits of our Measure J tax dollars have led to these wonderful improvements for residents and their four-legged friends."
