Using Tablets & Smart Phones
Join us on Saturday, May 4th for Using Tablets & Smart Phones with guest speaker Matt Shumaker followed by round-table sharing. This free presentation by the Palm Springs Genealogical Society will be from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in The Learning Center (TLC).
Matt Shumaker is a self-proclaimed technology junkie. From a young age he has had a fascination with computers, gadgets and devices that help to make our lives simpler, more efficient, more fun, and just better! He also grew up as part of a large family with a mother who loved to research genealogy. Matt saw how he could teach his friends and family how to utilize simple technology to aid the research, storage and digitization of their genealogical data. On various occasions, Matt has been called on to offer these tips and advice to those who are looking for ways to enhance their research by using technology.
Matt works in the Commercial Insurance industry as a Managing Director of Underwriting for the Technology and Life Science industries. He and his wife of 16 years, Nicole, have 4 amazing kids. They reside in the city of Riverside. Matt earned his Bachelors and his Master’s in Business from California Baptist University in Riverside CA.
