Photographs by Barry Schoenfeld
Barry Schoenfeld was born in Yonkers, NY; attended public schools and then Cornell University. He studied photography at the New School for Visual Arts in New York, and has had one man shows at Jango/NY, Buzz West Hollywood and Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. He prefers to “crop in the lens,” and does not use any photo software to manipulate his images, some of which are shot on film, some digitally. Either he sees and gets the image he wants, or it is not there for him. All of his work is abstract and non-representational, and his work focuses on either highly saturated or muted color and texture. His work is in private collections in New York City, Kawai, Seattle, Tucson and Chicago.
Exhibit on display September 16 - November 2.
