NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETING
CITY OF PALM SPRINGS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
2020 – 2024 CONSOLIDATED PLAN
The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) has established a requirement that each state and local government receiving federal housing and community development funds must prepare a Consolidated Plan (ConPlan). The goal of the ConPlan is to integrate housing, economic, human, and community development in a comprehensive fashion so that community living can be enhanced. The City’s Five-Year ConPlan integrates the application, planning, and citizen participation for the CDBG program. The current ConPlan was completed in May 2015. As ConPlans are updated every five years, a new ConPlan is being prepared for the 2020 – 2024 five year period.
A community meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, to provide Palm Springs citizens, community organizations, and other interested parties an opportunity to offer comment regarding the new ConPlan. This meeting will be held at 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, PST, in the community room of the James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center, located at 480 W Tramview Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92262. For further information regarding this meeting, please contact Dale Cook, Community Development Administrator, City of Palm Springs Community & Economic Development Department, P. O.
