Andy Cohen“It can’t be done.” “This is not the way we do it around here.” “I don’t have enough money for that.” “Am I the only one who cares!” These are examples of daily assumptions that act as barriers to personal change and growth. During his talk, New York Times Notable author and TEDx speaker Andrew "Andy" Cohen will provide strategies and tools to enhance your ability to manage problems and find creative solutions. The lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. in The Learning Center.

Challenge Your Assumptions, Change Your World is full of big ideas about life—it’s a unique talk that will transform how you make decisions and, in turn, increase your personal successes. This New York Times Notable author and TEDx speaker argues that it’s better to recognize and manage your assumptions, than to risk your assumptions managing you. But how do you identify your assumptions? How do you separate the dangerous ones from the healthy ones? How do you leverage your assumptions to make faster, smarter decisions? This engaging and entertaining talk gives you strategies and tools to enhance your ability to manage problems and find creative solutions.

Andrew "Andy" Cohen is a popular and well-recognized TEDx speaker, New York Times Notable author, and international thought-leader. He has a degree in experimental psychology and a room full of prestigious advertising awards. He motivates individuals and organizations to challenge dangerous assumptions while providing the tool sets to combat these assumptions to make faster, smarter decisions leading to change. American Express, Google, HSBC, Pepsico, Pfizer, SAP, and Verizon are among his roster of clients. Andy has also taught at some of the world’s most respected universities, including New York University, Cornell, Duke, UC Berkeley, ISB (India), and CKGSB (China).
