Adult: Design a Floral Arrangement

Adult Summer Reading presents: Design Your Own Floral Arrangement Like a Professional

Learn the elements of design from floral professional Kate Minelian and make your own floral arrangement. This event will be in the Cornelia White Community Room at the Welwood Murray Memorial Library. Registration in advance for this class is required.

Kate Minelian, Studio Kate Floral, started as a garden designer in Santa Monica, California. She was raised in England, where her mother gardened passionately. The family moved to Los Angeles where Kate’s mother grew garden roses “as big as plates”. Kate caught the bug early and for ten years, she designed residential sanctuaries, business exteriors and school gardens with her company Kaleco Garden Design.

There have always been sumptuous sanctuaries at Kate’s own homes, which contain vibrant cutting gardens she uses to gift to friends and to decorate her own events. Although always in love with garden design, slowly Kate became more interested in designing with cut flowers. Thus, the birth of Studio Kate Floral.

Studying with her favorite floral teachers, traveling to conferences and working with floral colleagues, Kate developed her own style and brand. Her studio in Palm Springs creates beautiful weddings, parties and events and hosts classes taught by Kate and other popular designers.
