At the end we’ll have a dance party; it will be a fun evening for the whole family! The program will begin at <strong>6:00 p.m.&nbsp;</strong>in the Library. Other dates for the season are: March 10 and May 12.</p><p><a href="https://www.dragqueenstoryhour.org/">Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH)</a> is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.</p><p>Created by <a href="http://www.michelletea.com/" target="_blank">Michelle Tea</a> and <a href="http://www.radarproductions.org/" target="_blank">RADAR Productions</a> in San Francisco, DQSH now happens regularly in LA, New York, and San Francisco, and events are popping up all over the world!</p><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><p>&nbsp;</p><hr><p>Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) are instruments designed to amplify sounds to make it easier for persons who are hearing‑impaired to enjoy a library program.</p><p>Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City of Palm Springs, should contact the <a href="https://www.palmspringsca.gov/?navid=1285">ADA Coordinator</a>, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.</p>
