The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation will host a special screening of a rare collection of film and video highlights celebrating the incredible career of eminent music industry titan Clive Davis at the Palm Springs Art Museum on Friday, October 3.
The screening of “Do You Remember?” will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by a Q & A with Davis moderated by music icon Barry Manilow. General admission is $75 and VIP admission is $150 (includes an exclusive post-event reception). “We are honored to offer this special screening here in Palm Springs and share the life story of a man that has had such an impact on the record industry. Also a tireless humanitarian, Clive’s legacy deserves to be shared,” said Plaza Theatre Foundation Vice President Kevin J. Corcoran. “This special event is a fundraiser for the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation in conjunction with our friends and partners at the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Annenberg Theater, and we are grateful for their support.” The Palm Springs Art Museum is located at 101 Museum Drive in Palm Springs. Tickets are available at

Clive Davis: As the record industry's most innovative and influential executive Clive Davis, Chief Creative Officer - Sony Music Entertainment, has had a profound effect on the world of music spanning more than 50 years. He has earned four Grammys in his role as Album Producer, has received the Grammy Trustees Lifetime Achievement Award, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, and, in 2010, The Recording Academy named The Grammy Museum theatre in his honor.
“Do You Remember?” is a brand-new, unreleased celebration of the music that defined generations—from Whitney to Santana, Aretha to Alicia, Biggie to Barry—and the visionary who helped bring it all to life. The film, produced by Mark Ronson and co-produced by Erich Bergen, is a rare opportunity to see how Davis helped shape the music industry and is a front-row seat to music history. Not a documentary nor a lecture, the film is an electrifying visual mixtape of chart-topping hits, music videos, and rare footage highlighting Davis’ legendary career.
Barry Manilow: American singer, songwriter and record producer with a career that spans more than 50 years.
Barry Manilow – a GRAMMY, Tony, and Emmy Award-winning music icon whose success is a benchmark in popular music. Having sold more than 85 million albums worldwide, Barry Manilow is one of the world’s all-time best selling recording artists. The multi-award-winning musician has had an astonishing 51 Top 40 singles, including 12 number one hits and 27 Top 10 hits. He is ranked as the number one Adult Contemporary artist of all time, according to Billboard and R&R magazines.
Clive Davis signed Barry Manilow to Arista Records, a pivotal moment that launched Manilow into mainstream success. Davis believed in Manilow’s talent and helped shape his career during a time when Manilow’s blend of pop and adult contemporary wasn’t widely embraced. Davis has referred to Manilow as one of the artists with whom he had a particularly special relationship, comparing it to choosing a favorite child—implying a deep emotional and professional bond.
Mark Ronson has won nine Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year for Amy Winehouse's album Back to Black, as well as two for Record of the Year with her 2006 single "Rehab" and his own 2014 single "Uptown Funk". Ronson has also won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe and a Grammy Award for co-writing "Shallow" for the film A Star Is Born.
