Palm Springs Honors Veterans with a Week of Events: "Honoring All Who Served"

This November, the City of Palm Springs invites the community to come together in a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have served in our nation’s Armed Forces. Under the theme "Honoring All Who Served," a series of special events will provide opportunities for reflection, appreciation, and celebration.

VillageFest – A Night of Thanks
WHEN:
Thursday, November 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
WHERE: Palm Canyon Drive, Downtown Palm Springs
Kick off Veterans Week by joining the community at VillageFest, where the public is invited to write personal Letters of Thanks to veterans. These heartfelt messages of gratitude will be distributed to our veterans throughout the week. Veterans are also encouraged to stop by and pick up letters, along with Challenge Coins from previous years.

28th Annual Palm Springs Veterans Day Parade & Concert "Honoring All Who Served"
WHEN:
Tuesday, November 11, at 3:30 p.m.
WHERE: Downtown Palm Springs (Ramon Road to Alejo Road along Palm Canyon Drive)
For over a decade, the City of Palm Springs has been officially designated as a Regional Site for the observance of Veterans Day by Veterans Day National Committee of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Palm Springs Veterans Parade is of the largest in Southern California and a powerful tribute to the men and women of our military.
This patriotic event features military units, marching bands, veterans’ organizations, and more. The parade concludes with a patriotic concert by the 300th Army Reserve Band, followed by a fireworks finale. The main stage is located at Amado Road and Palm Canyon Drive.

Veterans Dinner & Concert in the Park
WHEN:
Wednesday, November 12
Dinner: 5:00 p.m.– 6:30 p.m.
Concert: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Downtown Park, 230 Museum Drive
Veterans and active-duty military members are invited to join the Palm Springs Parks and Recreation Department for a complimentary dinner followed by a patriotic concert in the park. Each attending veteran will receive a Letter of Thanks, a Challenge Coin, and an American Flag as a token of gratitude for their service.
