There will be several items of community interest during Wednesday’s City Council meeting, including a special tribute honoring retiring Police Chief Andy Mills and a presentation highlighting community emergency preparedness and local volunteer organizations.

The Council will also discuss and consider several important issues, including: a proposed Downtown Community Mural Program, an urgency ordinance to temporarily prohibit data centers, and an update and report from the Ad Hoc Subcommittee on the future of the mayoral position.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way.
