Traffic Management Lingo:

NB = Northbound - traveling northerly direction
SB  = Southbound - traveling southerly direction
WB = Westbound - traveling westerly direction
EB  = Eastbound - traveling easterly direction

Center Lane: Center dual-turning lane
No. 1 Lane: Lane closest to center of roadway
No. 2 Lane: Lane closest to curb (2 lane road) or center lane (3 lane road)
No. 3 Lane: Lane closest to curb (3 lane road)

Contractor will have flagmen and traffic control set up for two-way traffic for North and South bound Calle Encilia, between Arenas Road and SaturninO Road. Contractor will begin sawcutting and trenching the street on Tuesday and installing the new gas line by the following Tuesday - Wednesday.

ON HOLD DUE TO CONFLICT WITH SCE LINE - TEMPORARY ASPHALT IN PLACE

Contractor will have traffic control set up for one lane of traffic for North and South bound Indian Cyn, between Baristo Road and Arenas Road. Contractor installing a new Sewer Manhole and lateral, Center turn lane will be left closed overnight to allow concrete manhole base to cure.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON POLE REPLACEMENT

ARABY DRIVE AT ANZA TRAIL BTW E PALM CANYON DR & WASH CROSSING

MAY 22, 2020 ~ 7:00AM - 4:00PM 

Southern California Edison and Diversified Electrical will have to completely close Araby Drive at Anza Trail to perform a Utility Pole replacement.  This operation will take all day, with power outages in the area of the work.  They have placed a message board for the residents before Anza Trail to alert the home owners in the cove of the closure.  Rim Road will be the only access in and out during the day.

CALTRANS HIGHWAY-BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

MAJOR I-10 ROAD CONSTRUCTION 2020-2022

FEBRUARY 2020 -DECEMBER 2022

CALTRANS I-10 PAVEMENT REHAB BTW BEAUMONT & SR 111

 $215.9 million pavement preservation project will replace and improve 133.3 lane miles of Interstate 10 from Pennsylvania Avenue in the city of Beaumont to State Route 111 Junction near the town of Whitewater in Riverside County. This project was allocated $215.9 million, $18.2 million in funding was due to Senate Bill 1.

MAJOR SR-60 ROAD CONSTRUCTION 2019-2021

 JULY 26, 2019 - JULY 2021

Pavement rehabilitation and bridge replacement project on SR 60 between I-15 and I-215/I-91.

The “60 Swarm” began July 2019. Caltrans has two projects in construction on State Route 60, one for paving and the other for the replacement of three bridges between State Route 71 and the 60/91/215 Junction at an estimated cost of $170 Million. The paving project will require fifteen (15) consecutive weekends (except for Labor Day) of full directional closures on SR 60 from I-15 to 60/91/215 Jct. (12 miles).

All lanes and ramps will be closed during the work from Fridays at 10:00 p.m. to Mondays at 5:00 a.m.

Partner transportation agencies have projects that correlate with Caltrans projects that also affect motorists.

Maintenance and Operations workers risk their lives every day working on open freeways, highways, and local roads and are true unsung heroes of transportation.The following tips are to help you stay safe while traveling through maintenance and construction work zones. Motorists can make trips a little safer by remembering the following work zone safety tips.

  • Do not speed in work zones; obey the posted speed limits.

  • Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.

  • Watch for workers; drive with caution.

  • Don't change lanes unnecessarily.

  • Avoid using mobile phones while driving in work zones.

  • Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.

  • Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.

  • Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.

  • Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.

  • Anticipate lane shifts, and merge when directed to do so.

  • Be Patient and SLOW DOWN in construction zones!
