N PALM CANYON TO WEST END

AUGUST 21 -  SEPTEMBER 4, 2019 ~ 6:30AM - 5:00PM (MON-THURS)

The Gas Co. will start excavation on Wednesday 8/21/19  for new Gas main on Racquet Club between North Palm Canyon and the west end of Racquet Club Drive.

Due to rocky terrain, work may take up to 8 weeks to complete. Agreed working hours are from 6:30 to 5:00 Monday thru Thursday, crews were  made aware no noise till after 7:00 am. All residents in the area were notified in advance.  

Most of the work will be on the north side of Racquet Club with traffic control set in sections and utilizing a flag person at all times of the day to assist with traffic.

Crews will starting construction from the west end of Racquet Club and working east bound to N.PC.

NEW GAS MAIN ON SOUTHBOUND INDIAN CANYON DRIVE

VISTA CHINO TO MEL AVENUE

AUGUST 19 -  SEPTEMBER 13, 2019 ~ 7:00AM - 3:30PM

NPL Contractors on behalf of the Gas Company will be installing a new high pressure gas main and nine new services on N. Indian Canyon Drive.

Both SB (southbound) lanes and the center lane will be closed off for construction. NB and SB traffic will be restricted to one lane each within the two northbound lanes during construction hours.

New services involving side streets will be constructed towards the end of the scheduled time.

September 20 - October 21, 2019

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is rehabilitating the pavement on the westbound Interstate 10 (I-10) at Live Oak Canyon and at County Line Road in Yucaipa. Please review the commuter alert notice.


*****MAJOR SR-60 ROAD CONSTRUCTION 2019-2021***** 

 JULY 26, 2019 - JULY 2021

 Pavement rehabilitation and bridge replacement project on SR 60 btw I-15 and I-215/I-91.

The “60 Swarm” will begin on Friday, July 26. Caltrans has two projects in construction on State Route 60, one for paving and the other for the replacement of three bridges between State Route 71 and the 60/91/215 Junction at an estimated cost of $170 Million. The paving project will require fifteen (15) consecutive weekends (except for Labor Day) of full directional closures on SR 60 from I-15 to 60/91/215 Jct. (12 miles).

All lanes and ramps will be closed during the work from Fridays at 10:00 p.m. to Mondays at 5:00 a.m.

Partner transportation agencies have projects that correlate with Caltrans projects that also affect motorists.

Motorists can make trips a little safer by remembering the following work zone safety tips.

  • Do not speed in work zones; obey the posted speed limits.

  • Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.

  • Watch for workers; drive with caution.

  • Don't change lanes unnecessarily.

  • Avoid using mobile phones while driving in work zones.

  • Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.

  • Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.

  • Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.

  • Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.

  • Anticipate lane shifts, and merge when directed to do so.

  • Be Patient and SLOW DOWN in construction zones!
