The Parks & Recreation Commission consists of eleven (11) members appointed by the City Council. The Commission typically meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The Commission functions in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters relating to planning and monitoring of 11 parks and recreational services and facilities, operations of the municipal golf course, special events, and leisure services programs and activities. The Parks & Recreation Department provides staff support to the Commission, (760) 323-8272.
