On January 1, 2018, the State of California modified its marijuana laws allowing certain persons the ability to possess marijuana (cannabis) in limited quantities.  The Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) is responsible for enforcing California law and City ordinances at the Palm Springs International Airport.

Under federal marijuana (cannabis) law, any quantity remains illegal.  If you are a passenger boarding a flight, please be aware you will pass through security screening operated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), part of the Department of Homeland Security.  You are subject to regulations and laws TSA is responsible for enforcing.

We request you do not bring any marijuana or marijuana-based products to the airport.   This will ensure you avoid any legal issues or disruptions in your travel plans.
