The Street and Traffic Maintenance Division is a part of the Department of Public Works. This division is responsible for ongoing maintenance on the city owned streets.

The Streets division coordinates emergency road closures to facilitate road cleanup, public safety incidents and storm events; performs repairs, replacement, and installation of traffic, neighborhood, and regulatory signage; repairs damaged curb and sidewalks; roadway striping; Citywide pot hole repairs; roadside cleanup; drain maintenance, streetlight maintenance and repair, and graffiti abatement; and performs City special event and parade road closures and traffic control throughout the City.

The streets division is a comprehensive operation that covers all 94 square miles of the city, encompassing 208 centerline miles (approximately 416 road miles).

Downtown Area

Schedule: Daily (7 times per week)

Uptown Area

Schedule: Daily (7 times per week)

City Parking Lots

Schedule: Once per week (at 6AM or earlier)

Arterial Streets

Schedule: Once per week

All Other Public City Streets

Schedule: Once per month
