Business owners who wish to continue the parklet use will be expected to implement the following relative to parklets:
a) Hours of Use: Parklets shall be in operation for a minimum of 24 hours per week during the summer period (June through September), and 36 hours per week during the winter period (October through May).
b) Appearance of Parklet – Operating Hours: Parklets shall be set up with chairs and tables and ready to receive customers during all hours that the business is open to the public.
c) Appearance of Parklet – Non-Operational Hours: Tables, chairs and umbrellas may remain in the parklet when the business is closed to the public. Chairs may be stacked and chained within the parklet area for periods of 12 hours or less.
Staff will provide an addendum to your approved Temporary Land Use Permit with these additional operational guidelines.
