Commercial Energy Efficiency Program - Upgrade your facility while also improving your bottom line!

With the Commercial Energy Efficiency Program, you can receive flexible program incentives on energy-saving upgrades! Southern California Edison (SCE) has contracted with Willdan Energy Solutions (WES) to develop, implement, and offer this Program to SCE customers. WSE provides comprehensive consultations, technical expertise, financing options, and energy-efficient upgrades. Some example projects include: LED lighting and controls, high-efficiency chillers and HVAC, VFDs and controls, BMS controls and optimization, building electrification measures and whole-building RCx.

The City is pleased to announce a new rebate program for Palm Springs residents that provides up to $100 for a Home Energy Assessment. An energy assessment is an excellent way to determine your home's energy performance and identify energy and money-saving opportunities.

Easy energy saving tips you should consider:

• Replace traditional incandescent lighting with energy efficient compact fluorescent or LED lighting. These new lights can reduce your energy use by up to 75%. Upgrading just 15 bulbs can potentially save you about $50 per year. Don't forget about your outdoor lighting!
• Only 20% of homes built before 1980 are well insulated. Proper insulation is critical for maintaining a comfortable and energy efficient home. Consider adding insulation to your attic or roof, inside your walls, and around your ducts in unconditioned spaces. 
• Leaky houses waste energy because heated or cooled air can easily escape. Have a professional seal leaks around doors, windows, ductwork, piping, and between floors and walls. 
• Upgrade to a programmable thermostat so that you can automatically adjust temperatures when you are not at home or at night. When used properly, these devices can reduce your heating and cooling bills by 10-15%.
• Replace your old appliances with energy efficient models. Look for the Energy Star label. As an example, ENERGY STAR clothes washers can reduce energy consumption by up to 70% and can reduce water use by 50%. 
• When replacing windows, look for double-pane, low-E, and gas-filled windows to maximize energy efficiency. The more windows you replace, the more efficient your home will be. 
• Choose a cool roof when it's time to replace yours. Cool roofs are better at reflecting heat and keeping it out of your attic and living spaces, which saves on your cooling bills.

PACE Program Funding - The PACE Program is state program administered by the Coachella Valley Area of Governments that provides homeowners with long-term, fixed rate financing for energy and water efficiency improvements. Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Assistance Program - This is a loan program that allows residential and commercial property owners to implement energy efficiency improvements to their owner-occupied properties and pay for them as an assessment on their individual tax bill.
